WCO Masterworks V concert “Banfield & Beethoven”
As part of the Music Mosaic Series at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, the Whitewater Brass Quintet will perform a recital consisting on works by Libby Larsen, Ingolf Dahl, Philip Glass, and Paquito D’Rivera.
Celebrate the Holiday Season with members of the QCSO’s Brass and Percussion Sections performing uplifting selections of classical works and holiday favorites! Students from North Scott High School will join the QCSO musicians for a special side-by-side performance.
Witness the moment passion ignites between Siegmund and Sieglinde in Act I of Wagner’s Die Walküre. Be part of the first American audience to view Peter Mumford’s celebrated multimedia production of this work. Three screens suspended above the orchestra will showcase captivating video projections developed to enhance the narrative of this semi-staged production. Heidi Melton returns to the QCSO as Sieglinde with critically-acclaimed Issachah Savage as Siegmund.

Feel the power of human compassion when Paul Max Tipton performs John Adam’s melancholy and meditative The Wound-Dresser, inspired by Walt Whitman’s graphic and tender poem. Celebrate the perseverance of humanity in the face of adversity with Shostakovich’s victorious Symphony No. 7 “Leningrad.”
